The shoe MJ wore when he hit the 'Last Shot' to clinch his sixth and final championship — black perforated leather with white framing, Varsity Red layers, and gold Ferrari-style metallic panels reinterpret the AJ14's speed-driven luxury. Designed by Tinker Hatfield with direct inspiration from Michael Jordan's Ferrari 550 Maranello, the AJ14's aerodynamic lines and sculpted side panels translate automotive engineering into basketball performance. The black/red/gold palette channels championship intensity and Italian supercar prestige simultaneously — the shoe driven by the man who drove perfection. Every detail carries the weight of June 14, 1998: the crossover, the pull-up, the final championship moment.

    Model & Print Details

    • • Sneaker-, fashion- or culture-inspired monogram model — direct tribute to a specific silhouette, colorway or moment
    • • 3″ × 3″ L.S.3.1st Monogram artwork
    • • Ultra-high-resolution DTG / DTF graphic print, intentionally designed to visually mimic real patch & embroidery textures
    • • Numbered limited edition · part of the Open Archive

    Texture & Material Mimicry

Every print is meticulously designed to visually mimic the look, depth, and tactile feel of a real embroidered patch — simulated stitch direction, thread sheen, merrowed border, twill backing, and subtle fabric shadowing are all baked into the artwork. The result reads as a physical patch on the garment, achieved through ultra-high-resolution DTG / DTF rather than thread.

    Wash Durability

    • • Soft-hand finish — sits flush with the fabric, no peel or crack
    • • Color-locked pigments engineered for long-term wash resilience
    • • Wash inside-out, cold cycle, tumble dry low to maximize lifespan
    • • No ironing directly over the printed monogram

    Print vs. Future Physical Patches

This release uses our DTG / DTF print process — chosen so the monogram artwork can render at a fidelity, color range, and detail level that traditional embroidery cannot match, while keeping the silhouette of every colorway in the ever-growing archive intact.

Physical embroidered patches — woven, with merrowed borders and heat-press backing — are reserved for select future drops in small, numbered quantities tied to specific colorways and collections. They are a separate, limited future format, not a replacement for the print line.
